23 Jan Code Red Inclement weather alert!!!
Marcus Hook is bracing for anticipated inclement weather starting on Sunday January 25th, 2026, including what could be large amounts of snow and sleet. This weather is expected to begin on the evening of Saturday, January 24th and end on the morning of Monday, January 26th. Please take proper safety precautions, which include staying warm, as well as shoveling and salting your walkways and sidewalks. Please remember do not shovel snow into the streets, and check on your elderly neighbors.
Trash collection is still expected to be collected on Tuesday. If there are any changes we will keep you updated.
Additionally, the Marcus Hook Police Department is issuing a “Code Red” with respect to 10th Street and Market Street. The area of 10th & Markets Streets will be utilized as a Snow Emergency Route. The Marcus Hook Police Department is issuing a temporary “NO PARKING” restriction beginning at 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 24th on the following streets during the storm; on 10th Street from Green Street to Church Street, and on Market Street from 11th Street to Marshall Avenue, within the Business District. Vehicles found parked along the snow emergency route may be towed.
The Marcus Hook Borough buildings will follow the Chichester School District on the closing of offices. Please stay safe!
