BULK TRASH COLLECTION

Large items of trash are collected by the Borough Highway Department each Wednesday morning.  To have items picked up, please fill out the "Bulk Trash Removal Form" found below, and bring the form to the Municipal Building at 1111 Market Street,  prior to Wednesday.  A modest fee is charged for this service.

REGULATIONS: 

• Items must be placed where your residential trash is collected.  Where your property backs to a drivable alley, place your refuse alongside of the alley.  If there is no drivable alley behind your property, place refuse in front next to the curb.  Bulk trash is not to be placed out for collection before 6:00 PM on the evening before the day of collection. 
•  Doors must be removed from refrigerators and freezers. 
•  Mattresses and Box Springs MUST be bagged and sealed in a plastic mattress bag and placed curbside. 
•  Collection hours are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Wednesday of each week. 
•  Loose materials must be in sturdy containers.  Materials in paper bags or cardboard boxes will not be collected. 
•  Demolition, renovation, and construction materials must be removed by contractor and will not be collected by the Borough. 
•  House clean-outs from rental properties is the responsibility of the property owner and will not  be collected by the Borough.

We will not collect bathtubs, batteries, computer monitors, concrete, construction materials, dirt, hazardous materials, or printers.
