FMC Corporation Hearing

* PUBLIC NOTICE* (Published March 27, 2023 Delaware County Daily Times) 

To comply with the Land, Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act, the act of May 19, 1995, P.L. 4, No. 1995-2 (the 
"Act"), FMC Corporation (MFC) gives notice that it is submitting to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection a Final Report pertaining to certain environmental investigation and remediation activities completed at the site located at 201 E. 10th Street, Marcus Hook Borough, Delaware County (the "Site").  The Site contains certain volatile and semi volatile organic compounds, metals, and polychlorinated biphenyls which have impacted soil and/or groundwater.  FMC has indicated that the remediation measures undertaken and planned engineering and institutional controls will attain compliance with a combination of the statewide heath and site-specific standards. 

A 30-day comment period fo the Final Report is initiated with the publication of this notice.  As part of this, a public hearing will be held at 6:00PM on April 3, 2023 at the Marcus Hook Borough Municipal Building located at 1111 Market Street, Marcus Hook, PA.  The meeting will pertain to the environmental investigation and remediation activities completed by FMC; the meeting will not discuss the ongoing site re-development, which is being undertaken by other parties.  An Electronic Copy of the draft Final Report will also be made available on the Borough's website (www.marcushookboro.org) on or about March 27, 2023.  Anyone wishing to provide comments on the Final Report is requested to provide written comments via e-mail to tiffany.kung@fmc.com and ggrillone@marcushookboro.org.
