Rest in Peace, Raleigh "Bye" Heacock

The Marcus Hook Trainer Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of honorary member Raleigh “Bye” Heacock. Mr. Heacock joined the Marcus Hook Fire Company #1 in 1958. Bye held the positions of 2nd Assistant Engineer, 1st Assistant Engineer, Chief Engineer, Head Trustee, Treasurer, and President and also served on numerous committees. Bye was a big part of the process for the merger of Marcus Hook Fire Company #1 and Viscose Fire Company #2 to form the Marcus Hook Fire Department Station 32 and the merger of Marcus Hook Fire Department, Lenox Park Fire Company, and Trainer Fire Company to form the Marcus Hook Trainer Fire Department Station 68. In 2010 the department renamed our Outstanding Service Award to the Raleigh “Bye” Heacock Outstanding Service Award. Our sympathy and condolences go out to the Heacock family and friends. Bye will be missed by all who knew him.
