Arbor Day 2018!

The Borough of Marcus Hook celebrated Arbor Day on Friday, April 27th at Mickey Vernon Park with children from the kindergarten and third grade classes at Marcus Hook Elementary School.  The Borough planted a Littleleaf Linden Tilia Cordata tree along the fence line that adjoins Marcus Hook Elementary while the children sang "Imagine" by John Lennon.  Joseph Frassetta, District Forester Bureau of Forestry Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, presented the Borough with its 33rd Year Tree City USA recognition materials.  The Borough is proud to be recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA for the 33rd year, as it shows our commitment and dedication to celebrating the importance of an urban tree canopy and improving care of these vital Borough trees!
