Drop Box Location

The Borough of Marcus Hook has been notified by the Delaware County Bureau of Elections in a letter dated 2/14/2025 that the decision has been made to remove seven of the least used ballot drop boxes in Delaware County, including the drop box in Marcus Hook. A key consideration was whether another ballot drop box is available nearby, and there is at least one drop box near Marcus Hook Borough. After the removal of the Marcus Hook Borough drop box, voters will continue to be able to use the drop box in Lower Chichester (located at the Lower Chichester Municipal Building, 1410 Market Street, Linwood, PA 19061) or any of the 29 other drop boxes across the County.

These removals are intended to right-size what had been the largest network of drop boxes in Pennsylvania. They will be working to remove these seven drop boxes and the related cameras and transmission gear in the coming two moths, before the the May 20, 2025 Primary. Even after the removal, the county will still have the second-largest network of drop boxes.

Marcus Hook has hosted a ballot drop box since 2020.
