Orgin of Name

Named for the historic “Market Square” and for the Vietnam War Monument which was located in the center of the 0.7 acre parcel previously known as McClure Park. Named Market Square Memorial Park by Borough Council on June 3, 1985.

Building and 1.7 acre property deeded to the Borough of Marcus Hook from the federal government on October 2, 2000. Building fully renovated in 2004 and dedicated as the Marcus Hook Community Center on October 23, 2004.
