01 Jul Cooling Center- Stay Safe in the Extreme Heat!

Due to the expected heat wave, the Borough of Marcus Hook is opening the Curt Weldon Community Center located at 7 W Delaware Ave. as a cooling center. It will be open on Thursday July 2, Friday July 3, and Saturday July 4, 2026, from 12:00pm-4:00pm and will be monitored by the Marcus Hook Police Department. The Mary M. Campbell Library at 1015 Green on the 2nd floor, will also be open on Thursday July 2, from 11:00am- 3:00pm.
Residents are advised to drink plenty of water, stay out of the sun, seek relief in air-conditioned spaces, check on elderly neighbors and never leave children or pets in cars. . Please take all precautions to stay cool and dial 911 for any emergencies.
