26 Aug Passing of James F. Jackson

The Borough of Marcus Hook extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of former Mayor and Borough Councilor James F. Jackson, who passed away on August 22, 2026. 

James served as a Borough Councilor in Marcus Hook from 1977 – 1983 and Mayor from 1984 – 1993.  James also served on multiple boards and commission during his time residing in the Borough.  James’ contributions to Marcus Hook are remembered with appreciation and respect.

On behalf of the Borough of Marcus Hook, Mayor Taylor, Council, and municipal staff, we extend our sympathies to the Jackson family, and we join the community in mourning James’ passing.  As a show of respect and gratitude, flags in the Borough of Marcus Hook will be held at half-mast until Friday, August 28, 2026.
