🔥 Friendly Reminder: Outdoor Fire Safety Guidelines
As the weather turns warmer residents may want to enjoy outdoor cooking or small recreational fires. Please keep these important safety rules in mind:
🍔 Cooking Fires
-Barbecue grills and outdoor stoves are allowed for cooking only.
-Use approved fuels like propane, natural gas, or charcoal.
🔥 Recreational Fires (like fire pits or chimineas)
-Must be fully contained in a screened, fire-safe container.
-Burn only clean, seasoned firewood or charcoal—no trash, leaves, or treated/painted wood.
-Keep fires at least 5 feet away from structures, fences, and property lines.
-Always have a responsible adult (18+) watching the fire until it’s completely out.
-Keep water, sand, a hose, or a fire extinguisher nearby.
🌬️ Safety First
-Don’t light fires during windy or unsafe weather.
-Avoid excessive smoke, odors, or ash that could bother neighbors.
-Fires must not smolder and must be fully extinguished by midnight.
🚒 Important
-If an official (Fire Marshal, police, or code officer) determines a fire is unsafe, it must be put out immediately.
Let’s all do our part to keep our community safe and enjoyable!
